Ghaziabad, June 25: Rain played a major role on Day 2 of the Future Star Under-15 Championship at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Ghaziabad.
While one match was completely washed out, cricket fans still got an exciting contest in the evening as Meerut Spartans pulled off a brilliant 18-run win over Noida Blaze in a rain-shortened game.
Rain Disrupts Day 2 Action
The opening match of the day between Sonipat Kings and Jayqoo Panthers Faridabad could not produce any result after continuous rain forced the match to be abandoned. Both teams had to settle for shared points without a single ball making an impact on the scoreboard.
However, the weather improved later in the evening, allowing the second match to take place. Due to the delay, the contest was reduced to 17 overs per side.

He received valuable support from Aayan Siddiqui, who stayed unbeaten on 23 runs off 14 deliveries.
