Mohammed Siraj crushed CSK Batting Lineup in GT vs CSK 230 chase IPL 2026 Match

It turned out to be a horrible night for Chennai Super Kings at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad as Gujarat Titans completely dominated the match with the ball. Chasing a huge target of 230 runs, CSK’s batting lineup fell apart under pressure while Mohammed Siraj and Kagiso Rabada produced a deadly pace attack.

Right from the first ball of the innings, Gujarat Titans looked fired up and in control. Siraj struck immediately, and after that Chennai never really managed to recover. Wickets kept falling, pressure kept increasing, and the required run rate became too much for CSK to handle.

Mohammed Siraj Gives GT the Perfect Start

Mohammed Siraj could not have asked for a better beginning. On the very first ball of the innings, he dismissed Sanju Samson for a golden duck.

Siraj bowled a full outswing delivery outside off stump. Samson tried to play an attacking shot through the off side, but only managed to edge the ball behind the stumps. Jos Buttler completed an easy catch, and GT players celebrated wildly.

CSK were suddenly 0/1, and the pressure was immediately on them.

Ruturaj Gaikwad Tries to Fight Back

After the early wicket, captain Ruturaj Gaikwad tried to bring some momentum back for Chennai. He played a few attacking shots and looked positive for a short time.

But Siraj came back again to break the partnership.

The GT pacer bowled a sharp delivery that came back in after pitching. Ruturaj tried to hit it across the line toward the leg side, but the ball stayed slightly low and crashed into the stumps.

Siraj celebrated in his trademark aggressive style while CSK slipped to 29/2.

Urvil Patel Falls Under Pressure

Things kept getting worse for Chennai. Urvil Patel tried to play a big shot to release some pressure, but it ended in another wicket.

Siraj bowled a length ball around middle stump. Urvil attempted a big pull shot but got a top edge instead. The ball went very high in the air toward deep backward square leg.

Prasidh Krishna stayed calm under the ball and completed an excellent catch.

That wicket left CSK struggling badly at 29/3, with the chase already looking difficult.

Rabada Adds More Trouble

While Siraj was doing damage from one end, Kagiso Rabada made sure CSK had no breathing space from the other side.

Rabada dismissed Matthew Short with a smart short-of-length delivery. Short tried to attack straight down the ground after stepping out, but failed to time the shot properly.

The ball went straight toward mid-on where Prasidh Krishna safely completed another catch.

At 51/4, Chennai Super Kings were in serious trouble.

Shubman Gill Produces Brilliant Run-Out

CSK’s problems increased further because of a careless run-out.

Kartik Sharma pushed the ball toward mid-off and hesitated while taking a quick single. Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill quickly collected the ball and hit the stumps directly at the bowler’s end.

Kartik tried his best to dive back into the crease, but replays showed that his bat was slightly in the air when the stumps were broken.

The third umpire gave him out, and Chennai lost their fifth wicket at 63/5.

Rashid Khan Removes Dangerous Shivam Dube

Rashid Khan once again showed his class by giving Gujarat Titans a massive breakthrough at an important stage of the match. Shivam Dube was looking dangerous and was trying hard to keep Chennai Super Kings alive in the big chase.

Rashid bowled a smart delivery wide outside off stump and slightly pulled back the length. Dube looked confused while deciding whether to play from the front foot or back foot. He eventually tried to chip the ball over the cover region but failed to time it properly.

The ball went high into the air, and GT captain Shubman Gill produced a brilliant catch. Gill ran backward, kept his balance perfectly, and then dived to his left to complete a stunning effort. The crowd in Ahmedabad erupted after seeing the superb catch.

Dube’s fighting knock of 47 runs came to an end, and CSK slipped to 116/6 while still needing 114 runs to win.

Rashid Strikes Again as CSK Collapse Further

A few overs later, Rashid Khan delivered another important wicket by dismissing Anshul Kamboj. The CSK batter was trying to play attacking shots and keep the chase alive, but Rashid once again used his experience cleverly.

He tossed the ball up nicely and tempted Kamboj into going for another big hit. However, the batter failed to connect properly and sliced the ball high into the air, where the catch was completed safely.

With this wicket, Chennai Super Kings were reduced to 136/7, needing 94 runs from just 47 balls. Gujarat Titans looked fully in control of the game as Rashid Khan’s double strike pushed CSK closer to defeat in this IPL 2026 clash.

Gujarat Titans Totally in Control

Everything worked perfectly for Gujarat Titans during the chase. Their bowlers maintained pressure throughout, the fielders supported brilliantly, and Shubman Gill’s captaincy looked spot on.

Mohammed Siraj was clearly the star performer. His pace, swing, and aggressive bowling completely disturbed the CSK batting lineup. Every over from Siraj created chances.

Kagiso Rabada also bowled with great control and intensity, while Arshad Khan played an important supporting role.

CSK’s Batting Fails in Huge Chase

A target of 230 always needed a strong start and good partnerships, but Chennai never got either. Losing wickets regularly made things worse, and the scoreboard pressure became too much.

Sanju Samson’s early dismissal hurt them badly, and after that none of the batters could build a solid partnership.

GT bowlers kept attacking the stumps and forced the CSK batters into mistakes again and again.

Ahmedabad Crowd Enjoys GT’s Pace Show

Fans in Ahmedabad witnessed a top-class fast bowling performance from Gujarat Titans. Siraj and Rabada bowled with aggression and confidence, completely dominating the CSK batting order.

Siraj especially looked unstoppable with the new ball, while Rabada’s experience and smart bowling made life even harder for Chennai.

Prasidh Krishna also impressed in the field with two important catches, while Gill’s direct-hit run-out added more excitement for GT supporters. Gujarat Titans moving toward big win

With CSK reduced to 63/5 while chasing 230 runs, Gujarat Titans moved very close to a massive victory. Their all-round performance with bat, ball, and fielding showed why they are looking like one of the strongest teams of IPL 2026.

For Chennai Super Kings, however, it was turning into a night to forget very quickly.
