Meerut and Karim Capital Set Up Exciting Title Clash
The Future Star Under-15 Championship is all set for a thrilling finale after Meerut Spartans and Karim Capital Chargers booked their places in the title match with convincing semi-final victories at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Ghaziabad.
Both teams delivered impressive all-round performances, with Atharv Sharma starring for Meerut Spartans and Siddharth Tomar leading the charge for Karim Capital Chargers. Their outstanding knocks not only earned them Player of the Match awards but also helped their teams comfortably secure a place in the final.
Atharv Sharma’s Brilliant 93 Powers Meerut Spartans
Meerut Spartans put on a dominant batting display after being asked to bat first against Sonipat Kings. Opening batter Atharv Sharma played a superb innings, smashing 93 runs from just 57 deliveries. He looked in complete control throughout his knock and found the boundary regularly, hitting 17 elegant fours.
Thanks to Atharv’s innings, Meerut Spartans finished with a strong total of 216/5 in their 20 overs. The aggressive start gave the team complete control of the match and left Sonipat Kings with a massive target to chase.
Sonipat Kings Struggle Under Pressure
Chasing 217 was always going to be difficult, and Sonipat Kings never really managed to build any momentum. Wickets kept falling at regular intervals, making the required run rate climb quickly.
Kunal Nagar fought hard with a determined 60-run knock and tried to keep his side in the contest, but he didn’t receive enough support from the other batters. Eventually, Sonipat Kings were bowled out for 125 in 18.5 overs.

The bowling attack was led brilliantly by Aayan Siddiqui, who claimed four wickets for just 19 runs. Ashwin Mavi also bowled an economical spell and chipped in with a wicket as Meerut Spartans wrapped up a comfortable 91-run victory.
Atharv Sharma was deservedly named Player of the Match for his match-winning innings.
Siddharth Tomar Leads Karim Capital Chargers to Victory
The second semi-final saw Noida Blaze post a competitive total of 160/4 in their 20 overs. Akib Saifi scored a valuable 39, while Saksham Aswal remained unbeaten on 38, helping their team reach a fighting score.
Karim Capital Chargers knew they needed a solid start in the chase, and Siddharth Tomar delivered exactly that. The stylish batter played with confidence, scoring an excellent 65 off 46 balls while keeping the scoreboard moving.
Priyanshu Yadav also made an important contribution with 36 runs, building useful partnerships that ensured Karim Capital Chargers stayed ahead of the required run rate throughout the chase.
The team eventually reached 162/4 in 19 overs, winning the match by six wickets with one over remaining.
Bowlers Also Play Their Part
While the batters grabbed the headlines, Karim Capital Chargers also received useful contributions from their bowlers earlier in the game.
Yug picked up two important wickets, while Arman Hussain bowled a disciplined spell and claimed one wicket to keep Noida Blaze from posting an even bigger total.
Siddharth Tomar’s calm and match-winning half-century earned him the Player of the Match award.
A Grand Final Awaits
With these impressive victories, Meerut Spartans and Karim Capital Chargers have earned the right to compete for the Future Star Under-15 Championship title.
Both teams have looked balanced throughout the tournament, with strong batting line-ups and disciplined bowling attacks. Fans can expect an exciting contest as two of the competition’s best-performing sides face off in what promises to be a memorable final.
The championship final will be played on 1 July, where Meerut Spartans and Karim Capital Chargers will battle for the coveted Under-15 title.
